01. The service

What Jamuzo provides

Jamuzo is an interactive guitar jam application and practical learning library. It provides browser-based music tools, playable backing grooves, chord diagrams, fretboard tools, individual note and string playback, guitar guides and optional player-account features.

Jamuzo is designed for learning, practising, experimenting and enjoying music. You may use the public parts of the website without creating an account.

Current public features are provided free of charge unless a particular feature is clearly described as paid. If paid products or subscriptions are introduced later, their price and any additional conditions will be shown before purchase.

Jam Machine

Choose musical settings such as key, tempo, style and energy, then practise with a virtual backing band.

Guitar library

Explore chords, scales, progressions, keys and standard or alternate guitar tunings.

Interactive audio

Hear individual notes, strings, chords, scales and other musical examples directly in a compatible browser.

Guitar Passport

Save preferences and selected progress when you choose to create a free player account.

02. Guitar Passport accounts

Your optional player account

A Guitar Passport is optional. It may remember information such as your playing hand, saved chords, player settings, practice activity, achievements and progress across the Jamuzo library.

When creating an account, you must provide accurate information and use an email address that you are authorised to use. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity performed through your account.

Please contact us promptly if you believe that somebody has gained unauthorised access to your account.

If you are below the age at which you can legally create an online account or consent to the required processing of personal data in your country, a parent or legal guardian must approve or manage your use of the account.

You may request deletion of your Guitar Passport and associated personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

03. Permitted use

Use Jamuzo for lawful music and learning

You may use Jamuzo for personal practice, education, musical experimentation, creative work and other lawful purposes.

You may:

  • use the Jam Machine for your own guitar practice;
  • browse and study the public guitar library;
  • save permitted items in your Guitar Passport;
  • share links to public Jamuzo pages;
  • refer to Jamuzo in articles, lessons or social media posts in a fair and accurate way;
  • use knowledge learned through Jamuzo in your own playing, songs, lessons and musical projects.

Permission to use Jamuzo does not transfer ownership of the website, software, audio recordings, diagrams, branding or other protected material.

04. Prohibited use

Do not damage, exploit or misuse the service

You must not use Jamuzo for unlawful, harmful, deceptive, abusive or disruptive activity.

  • Do not attempt to damage, overload, disable or disrupt the website, server, database, audio system or connected infrastructure.
  • Do not bypass security measures, rate limits, authentication, permissions or access restrictions.
  • Do not access private areas, accounts or data that you are not authorised to access.
  • Do not introduce malware, harmful scripts, automated attacks or malicious requests.
  • Do not use abusive bots, scraping or automated extraction that places an unreasonable load on Jamuzo or copies substantial parts of the service.
  • Do not copy, package, sell, sublicense or resell Jamuzo tools, audio assets, databases or substantial parts of the guitar library.
  • Do not impersonate Jamuzo, Digital zone s. r. o. or another user.
  • Do not use Jamuzo to infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, personality, contractual or other legal rights.
  • Do not manipulate advertisements, rewards, player statistics, achievements, traffic or account activity.
05. Musical and educational content

Review important musical information yourself

Jamuzo aims to provide useful and practical guitar information. However, musical notation, fingering, chord names, intervals, tunings, audio examples and educational explanations may contain mistakes, alternative interpretations or differences from other teaching systems.

Chords, scales and other musical concepts often have several valid fingerings, spellings, voicings or practical applications. A Jamuzo guide should not be understood as the only possible way to play or describe a musical idea.

You are responsible for checking whether a guide or output is suitable for your instrument, tuning, ability, lesson, performance, recording or professional project.

Protect your hearing and equipment

Start audio at a comfortable volume. Jamuzo is not responsible for hearing discomfort, speaker damage, amplifier damage, string damage, instrument damage or other problems caused by excessive volume, unsuitable equipment settings or unsafe use.

06. Intellectual property

Jamuzo content and technology remain protected

The Jamuzo website, including its name, logo, branding, visual design, layout, source code, software, database structure, Jam Machine, interfaces, original text, diagrams, generated graphics, audio assets and other original material, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Except where a separate licence expressly allows it, you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, publish, sell, rent, sublicense, reverse engineer or create a competing service from substantial parts of Jamuzo.

You may not use the Jamuzo name, branding or visual identity in a way that may cause confusion, falsely suggest affiliation, imply endorsement or misrepresent your relationship with Jamuzo or Digital zone s. r. o.

Guitar chord names, musical notes, scales, common theory concepts and other general musical facts are not claimed as exclusive Jamuzo property. The protection applies to Jamuzo’s original presentation, software, recordings, graphics, wording, structure and implementation.

07. Information you provide

Your account information remains connected to you

You retain any rights that you have in text, profile information or other material that you lawfully submit to Jamuzo.

By submitting information, you allow Jamuzo to store, process, display or technically modify it only as reasonably necessary to provide the requested feature, maintain your account, secure the service and comply with legal obligations.

You must not provide information that is unlawful, misleading, infringing, abusive or that you are not authorised to use.

Avatars, interface graphics, rewards and other visuals generated or supplied by Jamuzo remain part of the Jamuzo service unless a separate licence expressly states otherwise.

08. Privacy and internal statistics

Personal information is governed by the Privacy Policy

Jamuzo may process information needed to provide accounts, remember player preferences, secure the service, respond to messages and operate website features.

Jamuzo may also use an internal statistics system to understand general website traffic and how public features are used. Internal statistics may include page visits, general traffic sources, device category and anonymous interactions with Jamuzo features.

The internal statistics system is intended for operation, improvement, security and general understanding of the service. Detailed information about collected data, legal bases, retention periods, recipients and your rights is provided in the Privacy Policy.

Account information

Information required to create, protect and operate a Guitar Passport.

Player preferences

Settings such as playing hand, saved items and selected practice progress.

Security information

Technical records reasonably needed to prevent abuse and protect the website.

Internal analytics

General usage information used to improve Jamuzo and understand whether features are useful.

09. Advertising

Advertisements may support the free service

Jamuzo may display advertisements, including advertisements delivered by Google AdSense or other advertising providers. Advertising helps support the operation and continued development of the website.

Advertising providers may use cookies, identifiers or similar technologies where permitted and subject to the choices presented in the website’s privacy or consent controls.

Jamuzo does not control every advertisement, advertiser, product, claim, destination website or service promoted through third-party advertising.

Your interaction with an advertisement or advertiser is between you and the relevant third party. Review the advertiser’s own terms, privacy information and product details before purchasing or providing information.

10. Third-party services and links

External services have their own rules

Jamuzo may contain links to third-party websites or use external infrastructure and services such as hosting, content-delivery networks, security providers, email delivery, embedded media or advertising services.

Third-party websites and services are operated independently. Jamuzo is not responsible for their availability, security, content, products, claims, terms, privacy practices or actions.

A link or technical integration does not automatically mean that Jamuzo endorses every statement, product or service offered by that third party.

11. Availability and changes

Jamuzo will continue to evolve

We try to keep Jamuzo available, secure and functional. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted, immediate or error-free access on every browser, device, network or operating system.

Features may temporarily stop working because of maintenance, updates, hosting issues, network problems, security incidents, browser restrictions or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We may improve, correct, replace, limit, reorganise, suspend or remove features, content, accounts or parts of the service when reasonably necessary.

We may also change available musical styles, audio behaviour, account features, rewards, statistics, library content or supported devices.

12. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Use the service with reasonable judgement

Jamuzo is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not promise that every page, sound, diagram, musical explanation, account record or technical feature will always be accurate, complete, compatible, current or free from errors.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Digital zone s. r. o. is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, lost opportunities, lost recordings, lost data, loss of profit, business interruption or damage caused by reliance on incorrect content, unavailable features, third-party services or use contrary to these terms.

You are responsible for maintaining reasonable backups of information that is important to you and for checking important musical, technical or professional outputs before relying on them.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer rights and liability arising from intentional misconduct where applicable.

13. Suspension and account removal

Serious misuse may result in restricted access

We may restrict, suspend or remove access to a Guitar Passport or Jamuzo feature when reasonably necessary to:

  • protect the security or stability of the service;
  • prevent fraud, automation, abuse or unauthorised access;
  • respond to a legal obligation or valid authority request;
  • investigate a suspected violation of these terms;
  • stop repeated or serious infringement of third-party rights;
  • protect Jamuzo, its users or the public from harm.

Where appropriate and legally permitted, we will try to provide a reasonable explanation or opportunity to correct the issue.

14. Changes to these terms

Updated rules will be published here

We may update these Terms of Use when Jamuzo changes, new features are introduced, legal requirements change or the wording needs to become clearer.

The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.

If a change materially affects registered users, we may also provide an additional notice through the website, account interface or email where appropriate.

Your continued use of Jamuzo after an updated version becomes effective means that the new terms apply from that point. Changes do not remove rights that have already arisen under mandatory law.

15. Applicable law and consumer rights

Slovak law applies without removing mandatory protections

These Terms of Use and the operation of Jamuzo are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic.

If you use Jamuzo as a consumer, this choice of law does not remove any mandatory protection granted to you by the law of the country in which you habitually reside.

Before starting a formal dispute, please contact us so that we can try to resolve the issue directly. This does not limit your right to contact a competent consumer-protection body, data-protection authority or court.

If one provision of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
